BOVEC
The village of Bovec is situated in the Soca Valley
on the foot of Mt. Kanin (at 480 m above sea level). Mt. Kanin
is the highest ski center in Slovenia. The small village is located
in the outskirts of the Triglav National Park and has about 1,000
inhabitants. Apart from skiing, it is also known for its emerald
green So·a River that offers many possibilities for rafting, kayaking
and fishing, as well as other adrenalin sports, e.g. canyoning.
One must see its beautiful meadows, wonderful mountain world and
clear emerald green water. Natural and cultural sights: Boka,
the highest waterfall in Slovenia, Mlinarica and Koritnica gorge,
the Triglav National Park Information Center in Trenta, and the
Museum of World War I in Kobarid.
